Der hochstabile Kunststoffschaft und die Systemkonstruktion auf Basis eines einteiligen, aus dem Vollen gefrästen Aufnahmeblocks sind die Grundmodule einer äußerst robusten Waffe. Bei rauher Behandlung und intensivem Einsatz demonstriert sie ihre kompromisslose Qualität.

Mit dem Blaser R 93 Radialbund-Verschluss ist im Jahr 1993 ein lang ersehnter Erfolgsfaktor Realität geworden: das absolut gerade, ruhige Repetieren ohne Drehbewegung im Verschluss.

Die Verschlussdrehung, die bis dahin Standard war, raubte oft den dringend benötigten letzten Bruchteil der Schusspräzision. Der R 93-Verschluss zentriert sich beim Verriegeln selbsttätig. Das Repetieren erfolgt extrem schnell. Der Schütze bleibt stabil in seiner Zielposition.

Die gesamte Bedienung ist einfach, spielt sich sofort ein und steigert die Sicherheit beim Umgang mit der Waffe.
 

Geradezug-Verschluss:
Repetiert wird schnell und gerade mit minimalem Bewegungsaufwand. Die Selbstzentrierung des Verschlusses trägt erheblich zur konstanten Präzision bei.

Systemblock:
Er bettet den Lauf, nimmt den Abzugsmechanismus, den Verschluss und das Magazin auf. Gefräst aus einem Stück hochfester Aluminiumlegierung bildet der Systemblock die Grundlage für die extreme Belastbarkeit des LRS 2. Thermisch bedingte Verspannungen können nicht auftreten.

Kuststoffschaft:
Beim Schaft handelt es sich um ein komplett einteilig gespritztes Kunststoffteil. Es ist absolut formstabil und temperatur-unempfindlich. Schaftbacke und Schaftkappe sind in Höhe und Länge verstellbar.

Lauf und ZF:
Der Lauf ist problemlos wechselbar. Er ist geflutet, um eine optimale Wärmeableitung zu gewährleisten. Spezielle Ausfräsungen stellen die Aufnahme für die Blaser Sattelmontage dar. Damit lässt sich jedes Zielfernrohr ohne Änderung an der Waffe präzise und sehr tief montieren.

Diese Sonderausführung ist nicht kompatibel zu den Standard-Waffen. Keine Wechsellauf-Möglichkeit. Mit montierter "Picatinny"-Schiene anstatt Sattelmontage.

The Blaser R 93 LRS 2 is the latest, most accomplished rendering of the R 93 Target Rifle for professional shooters. Each element is driven to supreme stability and reliability. High end accuracy even with standard ammunition was one of the principles during development.

The highly stable synthetic stock and the special receiver design based on one strong aluminium block holding the main parts are the essential modules of a truly rugged rifle. Rough treatment and intense use will make it demonstrate its uncompromising quality. The Blaser radial locking action R 93 made the shooters dream come true. The straight, steady repetition without rotational movements of the bolt seemed to be the one missing element of success.

The bolt rotation that used to be standard before 1993 had often cost that vital fraction in precision. When the R 93 bolt is locked it centers, automatically. Repeating is extremely fast. The shooter is staying firmly in his aiming position. The entire operating is simple and smooth.

Straight-pull Action: Repeating is fast and straight with minimum movement. The self-centering of the bolt head is a great contribution to steady accuracy. Receiver Block: The receiver block is bedding the barrel and holding the trigger assembly, the bolt assembly and the magazine. It is shaped out of one block of extremely tough aluminium alloy. This receiver is fundamental to the high durability of the LRS 2. Thermally related tensions are impossible.

Synthetic Stock: The one-piece synthetic stock is absolutely stable in its dimensions even in extreme temperatures. Butt plate and cheekpiece are adjustable in length and height.

Barrel & Scope: The barrel is easily exchangeable. It is fluted in order to guarantee optimum shooting characteristics. The barrel is equipped with special mounting notches to accept the Blaser saddle scope mount. It allows any scope to be mounted precisely and very low.

Buttstock:	Height and lateral position of the cheekpiece are fully adjustable. The surface is lightly roughened. The butt plate is adjustable in its vertical position. Length of pull adjustment is possible with spacer plates.
Trigger:	The single stage trigger is adjustable to a weight from 1200 g - 1500g. The trigger pull, the trigger position and the trigger stop are adjustable.
Magazine:	The magazine is easily detachable with one hand. It is single column and holds 5 cartridges. Except in the calibers .300 Win. Mag. and .338 Lapua Mag. it holds only 4 cartridges.
Locking:	Radial locking action with expansion sleeve. The locking elements lock evenly 360° behind the cartridge. The bolt head is centering itself when it is locked.
Barrel Finish	The surface of the barrel is gas nitrated to achieve an extremely durable and easy to care for finish.
Saddle Mount	The one-piece saddle scope mount can be attached directly to the notches on the barrel. Once the scope is sighted in, it can easily be detached.
